THE TIMES
We were kids growing up during the 70’s and 80’s in the western suburbs of Minneapolis. In a neighborhood under endless construction, we kept ourselves busy by curiously nosing around every new building site.
Our mischievous gang was a constant audience, always in awe of this colorful and dedicated bunch of tradesmen.
Being kids who sought to mimic what we regarded as “cool”, it became our mission to negotiate for piles of scrap material, borrow tools from Dads garage, and construct highly functional multi story tree forts and “club” houses in our parents back yards.
UNBEKNOWNST TO US
Along with developing building technique, we were gaining principle knowledge in troubleshooting, teamwork, delegating, planning, design and rudimentary (usually trial and error based) sort of engineering.
We were fortunate enough to have the space to explore, learn, and relish in summer days as our own sort of “crew” under minimal adult supervision. Leaders emerged, and an individual contributory method became secondary to that of a group consensus.
OUR MODEL
Today, our model is built around team efficacy and trade partner relationships.
Each a contributor to the greater good with a clear vision of goals and expectations.
Consistency being the unequivocal component of a brotherhood carved from a talented group of highly skilled and motivated contributors.
